What do you do with the old TV that would have worked if it weren’t for digital? Shouldn’t the government give you a rebate on that too? Shouldn’t they have a buy back policy? After all, they rendered these working appliances obsolete.
Wouldn’t it have been smarter for the government to disseminate coupons for HDTV instead of converter boxes?
There was a news item about two Japanese men crossing the border from Switzerland to Italy carrying a briefcase of $135 billion of US bonds. Where did they get it if it is not counterfeit? Where was it going? Was was the money to be used for? More wars?
